Reliable personnel are required at all levels of industrial and construction projects, ranging from material preparation, installation, maintenance, housekeeping to site support. The type of workers required will depend on the trade, their experience, the environment of the project and the day to day work. When looking for staff, a wide labour demand is not sufficient.
Best International Contracting Company supplies skilful man power supply to both industrial organisations and Saudi contractors for temporary, project based and long term contracts. We have a need to employ pipe fitters, technicians, helpers, trades people and general project staff for appropriate construction, industrial, maintenance and facility projects.
The review of each request is around the work to be done. The following factors are taken into account for the job title, discipline, required number of personnel, work experience, tools and materials, work site, shift pattern, mobilization date and assignment length. This enables customers to get personnel profiles which reflect the work, not an undifferentiated list of workers.
Skilled workers are bringing their trade knowledge and practical implementation, and general workers are doing their part in handling, preparing, housekeeping and other approved work on the site. Clear instructions, competent supervision and safe work environment is required for both.
Our experienced crew can provide KSA services for new construction, maintenance, shutdowns, fabrication and facility work and project mobilisation. The customer should describe what the worker will be expected to do, and what type of experience is required, in order to screen workers for the particular assignments.
This does not automatically include technical supervisors, HSE staff, QC managers, equipment operators or heavy drivers or project personnel who are required for a specific project. Those requirements can still be found on their dedicated page of services.
Pipe Fitters
Pipe fitters may help to measure, mark, align, fit-up, install spools, do flange work, do supports or prepare for testing/inspection work. The actual duties of the person vary with the type of pipe, the size of the pipe, the type of joint, the drawings, the procedure of the project, and the supervision of the project.
Construction, fabrication, maintenance and shutdown projects can be evaluated for our pipe fitter manpower Saudi Arabia services. Customers need to determine what piping system it is, what material it involves, the level of experience needed, the knowledge of the drawing and if a trade test or client approval is necessary.
Mechanical Technicians
Mechanical technicians can support the installation, maintenance, dismantling, and/or assembly and/or alignment of equipment; bolting and other approved mechanical tasks. The request should include details on the plant equipment, tools, stage of the project and technical knowledge expected.
Experience to be matched with the task. A general maintenance technician may not be competent to perform specific maintenance tasks, such as rotating equipment, precision alignment, or maintenance specific to the manufacturer.
Electrical Technicians
Electrical technicians can assist in cable routing, pulling, preparation of termination, lighting, earthing, installation and maintenance works in the panel and other authorised works. Before profiles are chosen, it is best to check the applicable licence, training and project requirements.
Electrical work to be undertaken should be done in accordance with the client’s approved procedures, permits and competent technical supervision. Assigning a technician will not supersede the engineering decision making process, isolation controls or authorised testing duties.
Instrumentation Technicians
Instrumentation technicians can help with instrument installation and may involved in tubing/cable termination, instrument calibration support, loop preparation and maintenance activities. The job description should include information about the systems, instruments, testing equipment and documentation that the person will be working with.
The customer’s request should also clearly indicate if it is construction, maintenance, pre-commissioning or operational support, as this could require different experience.
Welders and Fabrication Trades
Appropriate welders, fabricators, grinders and other related workers in the workshop can be checked for specific project needs. The process, material, position, qualification, test and drawing and production expectations should be outlined by the customer.
Welder acceptance is related to the project and procedure. Experience or a current qualification should not be assumed to meet the customer’s current requirements for a test, documentation or approval.
Carpenters, Masons and Civil Trades
Carpenters, masons, steel fixers, painters and other trades such as practical work may be required for civil and building projects. Requests should be made for the formwork, finishing, blockwork, reinforcement, and/or coating and/or construction activity.
In cases where specialist systems are required, materials or client specific standards are required, the required experience should be stated before the workers are short listed.
Helpers and General Project Personnel
Helpers can assist in the movement of materials, preparation of work areas, handling tools and may undertake housekeeping duties as well as other duties as specified in competent supervision. They should not be expected to carry out an independent skilled activity just because they have worked around an activity.
Our helper manpower supply service in Saudi Arabia is designed for specific and well-defined helper tasks. The work area, physical requirements and shift pattern, supervision arrangements should be identified by the customer in advance of mobilisation.
Other Skilled and General Roles
In certain projects, customers can specify the number of painters, insulation workers, duct workers, rigging helpers, warehouse workers, cleaners, store workers or other types of workers as agreed upon. Each role is considered individually in regard to the job description.
Riggers, scaffolders, certified inspectors or qualification based people should be well identified as the qualifications and the projects they are working on can differ from the general manpower.
Service area: Skilled trades, technicians, helpers and general project staff. HSE and QC staff, technical supervisor, equipment operator, driver, work permit receiver and scaffolding inspector are still on their dedicated manpower pages.
Our technician manpower supply KSA service can provide you technical trade support to your electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and other suitable technical needs. The assignment needs to be defined in terms of the actual equipment or system, what is expected to be done, what tools are to be used, drawings, test equipment and reporting lines.
Technicians can be required during a short repair campaign, construction phase, shutdown, preventive maintenance programme or for a longer period of operation. The level of required experience should match the environment of the project and independent working required.
If a person is to work on a live, energised, pressurised or operational system(s) the customer’s safety controls, authorisation procedure and technical supervision need to be defined prior to making any work.
The Jubail projects frequently need trades and support staff on industrial construction, maintenance, workshop, warehouses and shutdown projects, for the Petrochemical plants. Our industrial skilled manpower Jubail service can assist with appropriate assignments depending on the availability of skilled manpower, preparedness of documents and client requirements.
The exact location, contractor, work discipline, time schedule and access process should be identified with the customers. Medical fitness, induction, documentation, gate passes, interviews and/or a trade test and/or project specific approval may be required before a medical mobilisation for an industrial facility.
Requirements can also be checked in other locations in Eastern Province like Dammam, Khobar etc. Early planning can be very helpful if a project requires a number of trades or a significant number of workers for the same mobilisation period.
The skilled and general manpower requirements can be for a few days, shutdown window, construction or a long term project. The assignment period has an impact on the candidates’ availability, the mobilisation plan and the deal.
Screening, trade testing, medicals, and induction and access processing if necessary, for short-term projects should be afforded sufficient time. The less time you give them to prepare, the fewer candidates you’ll have to work with before you start.
In the case of longer assignments, define leave, coverage of a shift, replacement, attendance, performance review and demobilisation. When the worker’s work practice or responsibilities change appreciably, suitability will be reassessed prior to reassignment.
A useful manpower plan identifies how many workers are required for each trade and project phase. Various aspects of the construction, such as civil preparation, mechanical installation, piping, electrical and finishing, can be active at different stages. There may be standby and or congestion if all categories are mobilised at the same time.
Plans for relieving and supervising the staff should also be incorporated. Those who are involved in general personnel or skilled workers should not have their hours of work exceeded as agreed or have them working late without having the appropriate support, lighting, access and emergency plans in place.
If multiple subcontractors are working in the same work area, the client should communicate with the subcontractors regarding their reporting lines, interfaces and responsibility for the day to day allocation of tasks. Equipped employees should have a single point of training for the tasks they are required to perform.
1.Receive the workforce request
The customer provides all the trade, duties, man power, project, location, mobilisation date and schedule information.
2.Explain requirements for experience and approval
Review of Trade Knowledge, Qualifications, Tests, Documentation and Customer Responsibilities.
3.Screen available personnel
Profiles are judged based on the job description and supporting experience records.
4.Arrange customer review
Interviews, Document checks and trade tests may be completed as necessary.
5.Coordinate mobilisation
Medical, induction, transport, reporting and site access arrangements are in line with the agreed scope.
6.Manage assignment changes
Extensions, replacement of headcount, demobilisation is dealt with in the agreed process.
An examination of the candidate’s work should be the focus of candidate review. Relevant background information can be obtained from experience records and interviews, although practical trade testing could be adopted if hands-on skills are needed for an assignment.
The task that will be assessed in a trade test should be similar to the task in the expected work role and conducted in a controlled setting using appropriate materials, equipment and assessment criteria. Information about the results of the tests should be documented as per the customer’s test process.
An internal screening practical test does not constitute ‘and’ with client approval. Where the project itself needs an interview, assessment or documentation review, final acceptance should be done prior to deployment.
The commercial scope should define the sources of the hand tools, power tools, test instruments, consumables etc. etc. including personal protective equipment and specialist items. It is not acceptable for workers to start work without the necessary equipment or protection.
A safe work front, suitable instructions, permits, drawings and competent supervision shall be supplied by the client. The skilled workers perform specific activities, but the design and engineering approval and project management are still in the hands of the project organisation responsible for the project.
Helpers and general workers require direct instructions and supervision. They should not be given electrical, mechanical, lifting tasks etc, of a level above what they have been certified on.
The timesheet or project system should be used to record attendance and overtime, which should be agreed with the supervisor. Working records should be checked and reviewed quickly by the customer as they will need to know who is authorised to sign and when.
Any issues in performance should be shared using specific examples and stating the duty and appropriate corrective action requested. This enables a proper evaluation of the issue and eliminates the confusion from general comments.
Replacement notices and extension or demobilisation should be done following the agreed notice and approval process. The availability of replacements will depend on the trade and project criteria and mobilisation requirements.
